Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "The other night I had hurt my back and hip! I felt it pop and I instantly started screaming! My bf took me to an urgent care center! The dr there was very nice and I felt comfortable with him. I told him what happened. He did some physical exam and wanted me to see an orthopedic. It just so happens I hurt it Friday night. So he prescribed me Percocet 5/325 and 500mg Robaxin. I told him I was in opioid recovery for almost 6 years and would like to just try the Robaxin. He said ok, but was going to send the script for the Percocet just in case. He only prescribed me 4 of them but I still didn’t want to take a chance even though it hurt so bad! I took 2 Robaxin when I got home. It eased the pain a decent amount. It is now Sunday I’ve been taking 1-2 tablets every 8-12 hours and I’m not in pain at all. I’m going to see the orthopedic on Tuesday and the perc script is still sitting at the pharmacy!"

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Opiate Withdrawal "It's a miracle pill! I would have not been able to break the habit, if it were not for methocarbomal! It really does work! For me the worst part of withdrawal is the pain in the bones (the feeling that your bones want to jump out of your skin). This medication along with Suboxone for me, has almost completely eliminated that pain! I take 2 x 750 or 3 500mg every 6 hours right before I take my Suboxone. Thank you, to whoever has made this pill. NOTE: when I wasn't going through withdrawal the medication had no type of reaction on me. "

For Opiate Withdrawal "After 7 years of Norco 10/325 I was taking 12-18 a day. Quit cold turkey and started Robaxin 1000 mg with 400 ibuprofen. Absolutely no body aches or restless legs! Mentally yes it's tough but this has been way better then I thought it would be. Imodium helps the diarrhea. I am almost 72 hours clean and physically have been great, even played 18 holes of golf yesterday. Slight headache and no motivation but pushing through it. Methocarbamol is a must for withdrawal!"

Robaxin-750 (methocarbamol) for Opiate Withdrawal "I started Robaxin a month ago. I take 1000 mg a day and after my next script I'm cutting to 500mg a day, then quitting all together. I was on Loratb 10's for two years and been clean for almost a 40 days now. I was trying to quit for many many months, but my mind and selfishness just wouldn't allow it. I lost a lot of important things in my life due to opiate addiction for pain, so I recommend you do what I did and just be honest with the people closest to you, ask doctor for help and be honest with him. It is very hard to do and will be very emotional, but it will turn your life around I promise. Go to doctor!"

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "I absolutely love this Medication. After being in a car accident I suffer from permanant back and neck damage. I am also a hair dresser. In order to work I will have to be on Pain killers and muscle relaxers the rest of my life. I started by taking Percocet and grew an allergy to all opiate derivatives. As a result my doctor perscribed me Robaxin. My family has a high tolerance to pain medication so I was afraid that it would not work. I was pleasantly surprised. It worked wonderful and I could still function and focus. An added plus is that there is no possibility of dependancy. I love it."

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "This has been the only med that I have used in the last 20 years I have suffered from back, neck and arm pain. I had two back surgeries that helped but not long term. Pain meds did not help much and having a heart problem that prevented any surgery unless it was a life or death/, no muscle relaxers worked if I could use them......and the strong ones they would let me have them for few a month so I could get some relief. Pain was so bad I was not eating and drinking enough....which sent me to the ER with my Blood pressure bottomed out. So they put me on this medication and I have more good days than bad. I sleep, and back tending to my over all health. THANKS"

For Opiate Withdrawal "I was taking 15mg oxycodone for about two years or a little more than that. My withdrawal (WD) I did alone. No one ever knew I was on them. It was really tough the first week. But robaxin and clonidin helped me with the WD. Doing it alone and having no one to talk to about it was difficult. I never wanted anyone to know. When I got clean I was able to tell a close friend that help me a whole lot. I've been clean for about 4 weeks. And as much as I would love to have the oxycodone I'm being good. I take BC powder when I feel aches it helps me with the WD I hope this helps at least someone."

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "After breaking my back three times, I ended up with ankylosing spondylitis, scoliosis and kyphosis. All major degenerative spinal diseases and cause for great endless pain. Coping is the hard part. I have been on Oxycontin, morphine and several other neural analgesics. All these did was make me nauseous, constipated and robbed me of at least 20 IQ points. Shear tenacity and methocarbamol has given me control over chronic pain with minimal ingestion 500 mg for three days. If I'm still good, carry on till required again maybe in a week or two. Best part I got most of my marbles back again. It has taken 10 years of medicines to finally find methocarbamol and thanks to it I can cope."

For Opiate Withdrawal "I was prescribed tramadol and started taking it for back pain and then months after dosage increased by my doctor. I recently read up on the dangers of long term use and I am a longtime condition patient, since my discs aren't popping back in place themselves and being on medicaid. I am not wanting to be hooked on any opiates, I would rather feel the pain. So. . . . I quit cold Turkey and like others the worst symptoms are the muscles spasms in my biceps, thighs, and calves mainly and tied for worst is NOT BEING ABLE SLEEP SUCKS SO BADLY. I am yawning and feeling like I should sleep but a part of my brain is like no you're staying awake. But I found a earlier prescribed bottle of methacarbamol after finding it and reading this webpage. Thank you to all other contributors. The methacarbamol kicked in in under 20 minutes it seemed. Muscles spasms gone and gonna try for that long awaited sleep. Goodnight everybody."

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "I have been taking this medicine for 22 years. I have Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and a very bad spine. I had a Doctor give me Tizanidine and it put me in the ICU. I almost died! After I got home and back on some solid food I took my two 750mg 3 times a day like I always did and they have been great for me. But the Fed. Gov. and DEA want to put their nose in sick peoples business and try to take all the things away that work for sick people. I really think they want us to die and get it over with. This medicine my not be for some but we all have a different body."

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Opiate Withdrawal "I found this medication to be helpful with getting some sleep! Which is the worst part of opiate withdrawal to me. It also helps with the aches you get that feel like they're in your bones! It was a really big help especially in getting me over that 1 to 2 week hump! The most vital part of the withdrawal experience!"

For Opiate Withdrawal "I am 6 days into detoxing at home after a marathon of using oxycodone Morphine Dilaudid and Fentanyl for around year and Robaxin really helped with the muscle cramps and general creepy crawly feeling you get. Haven't had any episodes of uncontrollable vomiting or diarrhea. I'm also using 8mg Zofran dissolving tabs for nausea and as a prevention for vomiting. I've been able to eat somewhat the last 2 days. At this point its just to far in to quit. Holding strong but still feeling anxious as can be."

Robaxin-750 (methocarbamol) for Opiate Withdrawal "I had surgery for a quadriceps tendon rupture in October. I've been on various opiates since. Most currently 5 mg.Oxycodone. I have a mild dependency issue going on, but I've been able to ward off WD symptoms by taking 750 mg of Robaxin, 50 mg of Tramadol, 4 Ibruprofen all at once. Without them I get the runny nose, watery eyes, restlessness, joint pain, etc. The "cocktail" I have put together has worked perfectly. I sleep through the night and have been able to get down to 2.5 mg of Oxycodone once per day now."

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "My doctor prescribed me this for muscle spasms in my neck and through my right shoulder/arm. And by the time I was able to take it - -the spasms had quit on their own. I never threw out the meds and recently my spasms started back up again -which they do on occasion. My spasms are severe - - literally preventing me from being functional for upwards of 3 days. Robaxin actually works and releases a lot of the stress and pain from my spasms. Only downside is it takes upwards of an hour and a half or longer for me to feel the effects. Zero noticeable side-effects besides some mild drowsiness, which is no biggy. Helps me sleep at night through the pain. I'd recommend this medicine."

For Opiate Withdrawal "I've been an opiate abuser for the best part of 20 years I've got clean many times and I've relapsed many times. I'm now 42 and the withdrawal symptoms seem to get worse with age. Ok I'll get to it. I had a back injury and was prescribed Methocarbamol (my GP) He had no idea I was an addict. The day I got hold of this medication I was planning to do my detox (AGAIN) I would normally use lyrica to help with the overall hell of getting clean . So before going to find that medication on the black market I looked up this what I had been prescribed That night I took 1 750mg and 30mins later I noticed my rattling pain was greatly reduced!! Over the next 4 days I took this medication 4 times a day till I'd completed my detox it helped me very much"

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "I get sciatica often due to a spinal injury. When the flair up are at their worst, I've always taken Soma. I'm the type who does not like to change meds. If it works, why take a chance and mess that up? So I was skeptical when my doctor gave me Robaxin. But it worked! Yesterday I was tilted to the right and couldn't walk with my back straight up. Today I am so much better. What a relief! The pain can be a nightmare!"

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "I have recently had back surgery. I am 17, used to be a track athlete and happen to have a lot of right leg spams. So far I took the Robaxin once. I am prescribed 2 x 750mgs every 6 hours but that dosage I learned shortly was wayyyyy to much. Ended up so dizzy I threw up. So if anyone is wondering don't take 2 if pain is minor and in one area."

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "I'm an aging jock. I have many old injuries, but take Robaxin primarily for spinal pain - (L1-L2-L3) disk problems. I start dosing 3 days before I am scheduled to do something stupid, dose through the activity, then wind down for a day or two later. It makes my 60 y.o. body work like a 30 y.o. Unfortunately, that doesn't always work out so well, but with an NSAID like Naproxin Sodium, and a muscle relaxant like methocarb, I can stay immature for many more years. I find my only side effects come from playing too hard. I have experienced no other ones."

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "I have been taking a generic brand of Methcarbamol 500mg for several years. I have found it to be very helpful with muscle spasms and degenerative disc disease. I alI already take Celebrex so I can't take ibuprofen or Aleve just acetaminophen. It doesn't relieve all the pain but it makes the pain tolerable and it's better then narcotics."

For Muscle Spasm "Have used this for sciatic pain and muscle tightening, for 50 years now, about once every five years or so. Love it. Let's me sleep. Methocarbamol, heating pad and rest for about 3 days -- and back to normal life again. No side effects. I am highly allergic to all paid medicines except for Aleve. This is a life saver for me."

In my opinion its way better than flexeril because it is less sedative and I do not have the hangover feeling as I do with flexeril."

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "I have lower back spasms and sciatic nerve pain. Usually I can function with Tylenol and stretching but this time was pretty bad. The doc prescribed Robaxin and it helps me sleep through the pain and function through the day without being too foggy. The side effects I have noticed are feeling feverish and my thigh muscles have been twitching pretty much non stop, but it's not painful. So far the pros outweigh the cons."

Robaxin (methocarbamol) for Muscle Spasm "I have very good luck with this as a pain reliever but the muscle relaxant part works a little too well. I mean a 500mg pill will knock me out for 18 hours. and 1000-1500 mg if the recommended daily dose. I have recently been taking 1/4 dose. (125mg) about 2 hours before bed and it still knocks me out for at least 12 hours. Then I wake up in the morning with hangover like symptoms, light and sound sensitivity, splitting headache, dry mouth. On the plus side at least I sleep."
